*Official health fees and insurance costs for 2022 – 2023 should be discussed with Columbia Student Insurance.

Every student’s budget and cost will be different and will vary depending on the number of credit hours & terms for which the student plans to attend during the year (period of enrollment). Additional items such as books/supplies, personal/living expenses, and transportation costs will also affect other costs you may incur during your time at TC. Note that these additional budget items, unlike tuition and fees, are variable expenses for you to determine how they would be factored in and covered by your financial aid as needed.

Fee Waiver Policy

Skateboards leaning up against a wallIf you are not applying for financial aid and not a first-generation-to-college student, and Bowdoin’s $65 application fee presents a significant financial hardship for you or your family, you may still be eligible for an application fee waiver from the College.

Both the Common Application and the Coalition Application lay out additional eligibility criteria for fee waivers.

If you don’t meet any of the fee waiver thresholds, but you believe your family’s financial circumstances warrant consideration for a fee waiver, you can ask your regional admissions representative for a waiver.

You may also be asked to include a statement from a teacher or college guidance counselor supporting your request.
